About Jonathan F. Altman

Jonathan F. Altman is the Founding and Managing Partner of The Altman Law Firm, LLC. Jonathan graduated from Rider University with an undergraduate degree in Commerce, majoring in Organizational Behavior and Management. After graduating from Rider University, Jonathan attended and graduated from The Delaware Law School of Widener University. During law school, he served as an Administrative Assistant to the Hon. William H. Lamb, Chester County District Attorney, was a member of The Delaware Law School of Widener University's Moot Court Honor Society, and served on the board of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. After graduating from law school, Jonathan served as Trial and Administrative Assistant District Attorney in the Chester County District Attorney's Office, trying misdemeanor and felony cases, and administering the budget and administration for the District Attorney's Office.

Following his career with the District Attorney’s Office, Jonathan joined the law firm of Levy and Surrick, and clerked part-time for the Hon. R. Barclay Surrick of the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas. After leaving Levy and Surrick and the Clerkship, Jonathan began his career at Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) as a Senior Trial Counsel and Managing Attorney. As Senior Trial Counsel, he handled all aspects of personal injury litigation from discovery through trial and appeal, including writing of briefs and oral argument to the United States Supreme Court and the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals. As Managing Attorney, Jonathan supervised personal injury litigation handled by outside counsel in New Jersey, Delaware, and Southeastern Pennsylvania, monitoring overall handling of cases, providing guidance, assistance, and advice on defense and trial strategies, settlements, and litigation costs.

After private general practice of law, Jonathan became Managing Attorney for the Home Insurance Company’s in-house litigation staff in Philadelphia, PA, where he continued to litigate personal injury and malpractice, and administered Home Insurance staff offices, for litigation in the five-county Southeastern Pennsylvania region

After leaving Home Insurance Company, Jonathan became a shareholder at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, P.C., handling professional liability matters including class actions, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act malpractice, Fair Credit Reporting Act malpractice, attorney malpractice, medical malpractice, accountant malpractice, realtor malpractice, insurance agent malpractice, title insurance company malpractice, personal injury litigation, motor vehicle, premises, and product liability. After leaving Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, P.C., Jonathan joined Tupitza Altman & Bryman, P.C.
